Has anyone managed to get Apple car play working on this yet or is it still just Android auto?

For ACP you need to replace the USB module. You can find the part number somewhere in the threads.

Ill see if I can find some info on that. In the meantime I have a OBD2 Wifi adaptor and I have installed DDT4all. I have plugged into the adaptor and connected to it successfully but when I launch DDT4all I get an error no database found, check documentation. I can still select Kadjar from the car dropdown list but nothing loads so I cannot access any settings. I have looked online but cannot see anyone else with this issue. Is there a step that I am missing?

You need to add database with ECUs in the ddt4all or directly install a version with preloaded database.
Check the link with the latest versions:

Ah yes, I managed to install a version that contained none of the databases somehow! All sorted now, thanks.

Hi all, I was ignoring / keeping my blinkers on about all these posts about upgrading to get Android Auto in my Kadjar until today.... I dropped my 2016 Kadjar into my local Renault garage as the sat nav / multimedia screen kept crashing.

When I collected the car they said they updated the firmware.... and hey presto I have a newer software with the screen-mirror option in the phone inputs section. That's where my frustration also begins... when I connect my phone with Android Auto via a USB app nothing happens - it just asks to connect to the phone to play media flles. I've tried both USB sockets but same thing,I know Android Auto works from my phone as I had a rental recently and it connected fine via USB.

I've tried everything... I'm guessing they that updated the firmware didn't activate the USB ports... can somebody please tell me how to do this? I've attached pics of the software version etc.

Thanks

Hi, for AA there is no need to extra activate any port. It is (from expirience) more likely that your cabel is inproper… It is not enough to have cheap charging cable. You need proper data cabel. Other possibility can be in your phone. I saw few cases when my test device (clean Sony Xperia which I bought just for testing) connected from first attempt and was stable while daily used Samsung not. Resseting to factory default helped…
For CarPlay you need to change USB port module in dashboard.
2016 White 1.6 dCi 4WD BOSE with Premium Techno Pack, Winter Pack, Panoramic glass roof & autodipp mirror and retractable towbar.
Added ambient illumination, few chrome trims,
Replaced R-Link2 V2.2 SW version 9. 0.34.611, enabled Android Auto and CarPlay (change USB slots)
