Mine comes up on the speedo and stays on.

Yes, but for how long :) Mine fades out and disappears after few miles. It could've last way longer.

Just like mine. It's either a speed (20, 30, 40, 50) or the national limit (either 60 or on motorways 70) which is shown by 3 or 4 dots. The circle is always showing!

Depending which version of firmware the Rlink2 is running and the version of car will depend on how the speed display works.
Phase 1 will show the speed sign detection on the nav and speedo and stay on until it’s detected something else or can not read the sign.
The sign will turn red if you exceed the limit and emit a ping depending on volume settings.
If the camera cannot recognise the sign then three dots will be display, also does this when it sees a U.K. national speed limit sign, black diagonal on a white background. Firmware V2, V3 V7
Phase 2 are somewhat different displaying on the Rlink2 and just flashing up. These are new shaped cars running v8 firmware with different hardware.
