My car had some work done following a minor scrape and they had to take the wheels off.

Since i got the car back the tyre pressure monitoring system will not reset - it says adjust tyre pressure when i reset it through the r link screen; however both the garage and i have checked all of the pressures and they are fine - the garage said it may just need some driving to recalibrate the system but i wondered if anyone had any tips on sorting it?

Car needs to travel about a kilometre or so for the sensors to relearn.

I did it this morning and then drove 2.5 miles (4KM) and it still says "adjust tyre pressures"

As above, it just seemed to take a wait until the next journey to reset on mine. What was the damage you had fixed?, did the reset needed warning come on before the fix? is it possible the garage has screwed one of the sensors, (amswer yes)?

There was no reset warning before it was fixed.

Someone hit me and there was superficial damage to the wheel but as it's signature s the wheel could not be refurbished so they replaced the alloy.

I've done 11 miles since the work and every time I get in car I've done the reset procedure but still it won't register.

Would it make a difference to run the reset procedure with just the ignition on as opposed to starting the engine?
