Yes, mine does also operate manually, certainly when out of gear, can't say I have ever tried it in gear as I use the Hill Start when pulling away. When used manually it of course will release automatically when I pull away.

We have the same problem and the garage have just called to say they "think" it might be the switch and to replace it will be £140+VAT. Can someone please let me know if they found out what the problem was? Thanks
