Well having done a small run in the car came back and noticed centre screen is dead. Will not turn on, not showing clock or anything. All settings lost on dash and returned to default screen. Checked fuses and all OK car runs fine but all centre screen dead as a dodo! Any ideas before I go to dealer?? 

First off, What year was your car manufactured and do you know what version of firmware were you running?

It's a 2016 but have no idea of firmware version, where would I find that out? 

On the assumption you have not tried yourself to update to V3, you will be on V2.
Do you get any sound from the radio or if you have music via sub or aux?

Nothing at all, won't even turn on by pressing button, screen is just blank, no clock, time or anything. Seems like a complete power failure of the unit. But fuses in glove box OK. 

This is a real long shot, but after starting the car, try holding the ON/OFF button in for the RLink for about 20 seconds, let go and wait a couple of minutes and see it reboots. I think it is normally done with the Rlink on which you obviously do not know what state it is in.
