Hello Davila. My update from R-link version 2 to 7 was done by the dealer. Free of charge. But I still have a valid 3+2 year warranty.
My Kadjar is produced in October 2016 and it lived it's life in a dealer's showroom, until I bought it in May 2017 (at a hefty discount).
I understand, that you have a problem with the media volume related to speed. I can set the sensitivity and I am pleased with how it works.
I have activated Android Auto through the developer's mode. No problrem. For Apple car Play, I understand that you first need to have an R-link version 3, 7 or 9. Then you can activate both AA and Apple car Play. But on top of that, I understand that you need to change the USB contact, in order to have Apple. There is a separate thread about that.

Hello Karl, I have the same version but it doesn’t have the same function, to switch off/on, can you access you Rlink developed mode or Dtt4all and take photos and share so I can put my as you one.
Thank you very much Karl.

Developer menu DiagRw -> Car -> volume speed control. Set to 0 will disable. When you change valu you must first read it and then do hard reset of R-Link (12 sec press and hold power button).

Hello Robertp Thank you very much for your possible solution but unfortunately I tried it several times but it doesn’t work, music goes lower when I reduce speed.
Does your Rlink have a volume speed to switch off/on I am trying to activate it but don’t know how.
