This is how the second hand jack and a 16" mini spare from a scrapped
Qashqai look like when placed in my Kadjar with the Bose subwoofer:

The fastening rod was too short, so I made a longer one from a M8 threaded rod, a large washer and a M8 wing nut.

The lower mat eventually formed itself after the elevated subwoofer.

There are still room for small things here, especially at the rear sides:

Both upper shelves remain in the correct position.

And finally the optional rubber mat on top.

An even better result could be had with a 17" mini spare from either a Renault Koleos or a Nissan Qasqai +2. These will also fit into the foam insert and the Bose woofer will come all the way down so even the lower lid will remain flat.

I have an 18" space saver on its way via ebay. Sub should fit in easily and the rolling radius of the wheel is within 0.4% of the 19" wheels on the car. I'll post some pics up when it arrives.

Here's my 18" spare with 145/80/R18 tyre. Fits in the well with room to spare and sub still fits in using the standard bolt. All fits under the floor flush, so still plenty of room for tools, shopping bags, luggage straps and nets etc under the floor boards.

Would this do the job for a spare to suit below and take the Bose
155/90/R17
5 x 114.3
centre bore 66.1
We pick up our Kadjar 2017  110 signature on Sunday IF the dealer has finally attended the the jobs he has had 4 weeks to do while we have been away.
Its on 19" alloys

A 17" rim should fit the sub-woofer inside, but your tyre is too big to sit inside the foam in the boot without butchering it.. It's diameter is 711mm, and the diameter in the spare wheel well once the centre foam is taken out is just over 690mm. A 155/80/17 is 681mm, only 5mm less than the original 225/45/19, and a 145/80/17 is 663mm, less than 4% less than original which is acceptable for a temporary spare.

Hi 1898,

Did your jack come with a crank handle? I ordered a jack from Renault when I bought my car 2nd hand, but the dealer insists there is no crank handle supplied with it.

I made the mistake of ordering a full size spare wheel, so I lose the sub compartment, and the top shelves rest on the sub woofer. No heavy loads please.

Regards,
Squilly.
