Is there any way on the Kadjar to link the Speed Limiter with the Traffic Sign Recognition, so as you pass a speed limit road sign, the speed limiter set point changes? It should be easy to do, and seems like an obvious link, but I can't find a way to do it.

The principle of the system is that the driver opts for the speed limitation if he/she wants it. Can't see how you could change that as it stands. However, given the recent announcement on future legislation from 2022, all new cars will have to do exactly what you are asking for whether you want it too or not so the answer to that part of the question is it probably is relatively simple.

I think it will prove very unpopular with the majority and it remains to be seen what degree of override is allowed.

I've read that question in another forum long ago. If I remember correctly, it was possible - as you drive with the speed limiter On, after the system "sees" the sign, you have to press a + or - button (just like in cruise control mode).

AOne is correct, I use it like that all the time.

If you truly want to go automatic and allow it to change by itself when it registers a speed sign, you are looking for a world of grief. I have noticed on a number of occasions that the recognition system can pick up on speed signs on roads that run parallel to road you are driving along. I'm sure you don't want this if you are driving at 70 and it picks up on 30 on a parallel road.

I go pass a factory with a 5 mph sign visible to the road mine picks up that and and beeps at me I'm on a 40 mph road that would be interesting if it tried to slow to 5 MPH I would be popular to other drivers.

The cruise control is not working under 30 km/h, so neither should the limiter.
