Headunit & 12v socket not working 5 years 4 months ago #7

Thai is a bit suspect to me, the 12v power socket has nothing to do with the Rlink2 head.

It has something like 2mm cables to it which is fed from a switched ignition, via a fuse.
It’ll be a fairly straight forward job to check continuity to the outlet which will tell you whats going on, access to the rear of the socket is via the right hand side centre console kick panel.

The Rlink2 is powered independently and provides power to the USB sockets, if it’s blank and the sockets aren’t working it could be a power issue or I would suspect a software fault. Oe the head unit not booting correctly. If you push and hold the volume control for about 12 secs or more to see if it boots, while doing this if you want h the speedo display to see if it momentarily changes ie colour it would point to a software problem.
Have tried any after market software?
