My 18 reg signature S Nav 1.2 petrol auto, suddenly went into limp mode (2000RPM) when I wanted to accelerate quickly, in fact my accelerator pedal stayed flat to the floor without my foot on it, eventually the pedal came back up and everything returned to normal. The car is going in for its first service this month so they should find the fault on the ecu. Has anyone else had this problem, or any comments

Maybe caused from petrol? not good quality? where you put petrol last time? from station you use regulary or somewhere else?

Accelerator pedal stayed down? That sounds like a safety-critical issue! You must have been fairly alarmed, to say the least.

I've the same model and age as yours and haven't had this problem-and hope I never will.
Are you in the habit of pushing your foot to the floor when you want to overtake? What were the revs when you started the move?
I haven't felt the need to flatten the accelerator to overtake. If I did I think I hadn't left myself enough time.

Will see what they say after the service.
