We have an automatic Kadjar DCI 2016. The button on the automatic gear lever has snapped off. You can’t glue it back together so the whole knob needs replacing. It’s easy to take off (video on YouTube). Issue is finding a new one. Renault want £161 + VAT for a Replacement one. (And only 3 months out of warranty).

Any idea how and where I can get a replacement one. Can’t find a Kadjar one online anywhere but plenty for other makes of car like Vauxhall. We have sent messages out to brokers yards but they want us to buy whole gearbox and lever. All we need is the knob.

Any thoughts?

I'm a bit late on this topic as it only happened to me after Christmas 2024. I managed to tape it up and was able to drive the car. I was quoted a whopping €180 for a replacement from my local dealer so decided to search online. I came across a number of alternative replacements online and decided to buy one from Aliexpress for less than €14 including delivery. This is for the insert inside the gear knob. It arrived after about 2 weeks and is relatively easy to fit. Small flat head screwdriver or phase tester is all I used. Fitting instructions are available on Youtube video which are easy to follow. Very happy with my purchase and the extra cash I did not have to pay out.
