The button on my Automatic Kadjar has broken too and I’m out of warranty. Couple of questions. Has anyone tried taking the gear knob apart and tried gluing the button back in place? Has anyone found a suitable replacement that doesn’t cost £100’s? I can find Vauxhall ones online for sub £10. No idea if these would work.

Garage wanted £200 for a Renault one as car was out of warranty.  In the end I bought a ‘universal’ gear knob for £5 from Alibaba (Chinese website similar to Amazon). Mine looks totally to the Kadjar one with a thumb operated button on the side, it’s different but works fine. There’s also a Kadjar one on there that looks the same as the original and costs about £55-£60.  

You get a plastic sleeve and 3 grub screws to attach it. Seems to work fine.

Mine is very similar so I’m sure that would work. It was supposed to take 35 days for delivery but actually arrived in 8-10 days. It also got through its MOT with this on.

I've ordered through Ali express before so know that delivery can be  very varied.
