Im new to renault - what are they like with software updates? Are we ever likely to see the android auto update released officially? Seems a lot of messing about to use the unofficial one.

Just a quick update - I upgraded back to 3.3 (after previously downgrading to 2.2 and losing voice recognition) and now voice recognition is working again! Also auto volume/speed curve remained enabled (the option to adjust is no longer available in multimedia settings, but it definitely is working)

So now everything is working great!

Hi Guys, I am from South Africa and stumbled upon this forum online and obviously have the same requirement.
I have a 2016 Kadjar with R-link v2.2.x and need to upgrade to v3.x just to get android auto working on it.

My question, Will my maps still be South African maps after upgrade or will this upgrade override my maps with European/UK maps?
Also is there some sort of way to backup the current system and restore it if required?

There's no way to backup, but there are files for downgrade to 2.2.
The maps remain the one you have subscription for.

I upgrade my 2016 kadjar from 2.2.15.703 to unofficial 3.3.x.x according to the guide at forum. The update was succesful but I can not activate AA. When I connect android device rlink says “can not start Android Auto right now. Try it again when its safe.” And the android auto app says “ be sure that your hand brake is on” something like that.
Is there anybody know this problem and solution?
