Hi guys,
I'm new here as I've purchased 2016 Renault Kadjar just couple of days ago. Still trying to figure out and understand how everything works.
Read couple of topics here about RLink2 and firmware updates but I was not able to find a solution to my problem.

I have firmware 2.2.17.803 and based on what I read I should be able to upgrade to 2.2.19.300 by myself. Unfortunately when I enter my car's VIN number on renault's rlink website it says 'Your system does not require any updates.'
I also tried RLink2 toolbox but it also says there are no downloads available.

Any ideas why I'm unable to upgrade?

Hello Wlodar, I feel your pain. I bought my 2016 kadjar two weeks ago today (I bloody love it) but the r-link can initially be a bit of a pain to get upto to speed. first off did you use a memory stick (8gb or bigger) ?did you press the 'connect' button on the r-link screen in your car, found in the hamburger menu (3 horizontal lines) on the homepage. If you have not pressed the connect button you need to do this. If you have it can take 2-3 days to register. the r-link store and the r-link tool box are intrinsically linked. so purchases made in the r-link store (free or otherwise ) will then become suggestible to download in the R-link toolbox.
Im sure others will be along whom are better versed than I soon but I hope some of this helps. enjoy your new car .
p.s. what model did you get , colour etc. :)

Be armed with your USB stick, I usually use 32gb but defo nothing bigger.
Go to this site and everything should be self explanatory

You do not need toolbox for this operation, just an empty stick

Hi karl70,
Yes, I used 8gb memory stick but I don't see any connect button. The system detected the usb stick though.
I downloaded the rlink toolbox but it also tells me I cannot download the new firmware. It also doesn't let me register account as it says that my HUID is incorrect.
I got signature s nav in beige. I drive a lot (over 400miles/640km a week) so only diesel made sense to me and I got the 1.5. I looked at it couple of years ago but I parked the idea of changing the car for a while. Then I was after a different car but when it came to big decisions Kadjar made the most sense.

Thanks but I already tried that link. When I enter my VIN number it says 'Your system does not require any updates.'

If you cant see the connect button where i suggested it would be you have almost certainly already pressed it (as i did) during my first experimentation with the r_link, and moved on without a second thought. once pressed it disappears.
give it a couple of days it may well change its mind just make sure you've hit that connect button.

Regarding creating an account i also had some bother with the usb stick not being recognised although i think that was more to do with the fact i use a mac as opposed to windows.. the mac version from what i can tell just does not work and had to borrow my wife's dinosaur laptop. I found the best way to register the car for an account was to manually enter the vin number and huid. The huid no needs to be entered MINUS the first 3 letters...nowhere explains this but trust me , thats what you need to do.
