Come on, someone start a brawl?  Will England star tonight?, or is it time best used contemplating whatever, next car, change of dealer or even your own navel. Gets lonely on here at times

I'll reserve my judgement until I see what they do tonight. Looking at the matches that have already been played, the big boys seem to have underestimated the opposition, there are no 'whipping boys' in this tournament. Years ago we had five or six top teams and the rest were there to make up the numbers. All the teams have players who play in the top European leagues and they add passion and a determination not to lose to make them dangerous. Yesterday I watched Germany and Brazil and couldn't stop laughing. Probably a wake up call for them. Let's hope England were watching and learnt something! England to lose on penalties to Russia in the quarter finals anybody?

Well they played well and worked hard, but only just won, God help us when faced with decent opposition as I don't think they have much more in the tank.

Glancing at the 'red top' headlines this morning you would have thought we had just beaten a combined German/Brazilian team by six goals. I'm like you Ted, wasn't impressed. You and I could have missed those sitters in the first half. It can only get better and being English I sincerely hope it does! A win is a massive improvement on 2014.
