Hello guys,

I intend to install some simple ambient lightning in the front footwell, and in the small compartment under the heating control unit. Does any of you have an idea where to grab a +12 signal for a relay that is on, when headlights is turned on.

You can get a signal for illumination on from parking brake knob or cruise control switch on central console. But this is not pure 12V, it is reduced to lower voltage.

Added ambient illumination, few chrome trims,

I would personally use an ignition feed, either piggy back from the the fuse box Aux fuse of from the back of the Aux socket. I power my ambient lighting thus way.

If you really want to splice the side light circuit, there a multi way connector under the left hand side footwell side trim. This is the connector for the rear loom the goes to the rear lights the feed can be found here.

My sills, footwell and puddle lights EL in an lad out door handles all come from the curtesy circuit, so all come on with the door opening.
I have centre console, widow switch’s interior door handles on an ignition feed.
If the ambient lights where on on a night it’ll be too bright for me.

Any links to the illuminated sill plates you bought Daren? And what's the best way to access the courtesy light feed for the footwell lighting? I'd like to do this in front footwells and underneath front seats for rear footwells.
