My husband and I both have Renault Kadjars, both are automatic. His is 2017 and mine is 2018 both are S Navs (mine is SE Nav) Dynamique..

Neither of us have any lighting around the Automatic gear stick so you can't see to put the vehicle in reverse at night (or any other gear).

Thinking about it I don't think the window lights come up either at night is this a fault ? I cant believe that these are not light up at night .

Can anyone help ?

There is a bulb under the gear shift quadrant but it's so dim it might as well not be there. You should, however, have gear selection indication on your instrument panel.

Unless things have changed since our 2016 model only the switch for the driver's window is illuminated. Don't ask me why.

Yes the gear stick has a light in it on a very dark night you just might be able to see it.
Ive replaced mine with a bigger led, but it takes a bit to get to it.
As for the window switches, these are a Nissan product and the illumination wasn’t out in for cost reasons.

Again there is an aftermarket product available only for left hand drives,  unfortunately it’s the wrong way round for U.K. right hand drive

the lamp holder is a twist fit under neither the gear selector housing.  It’s a little fiddly to get to, the hole is large enough to take a w5w lamp holder.
