Have you fixed the issue? I'm having similar problems with my keycards...

I’ve used cheaper brands also, the majority work fine in all applications, however I had a card with 5 batteries on it, I had used one for something like kitchen scales, they are all the same battery. I also used, or try to use one in an Ikea multi function bulb remote and couldn’t get it working.

To cut a long story short the rest of the barriers on the cars didn’t work, I obtained a new card and all was working.

Basically if the new battery doesn’t work suspect the battery!!
