Hi,

I purchased m kadjar in November of 2016. It was used yet the keyfob worked without a problem for around two years. Then the battery decided to die on me. I replaced it and it worked for a few weeks before the battery died again. I am now replacing the battery several times a month to the point where the ignition does not even recognise that there is a key present and I have to hold it really close to the ignition. The same goes for the keyless entry.

Does anyone have any experience of this or any solutions? It is driving me crazy!

Are you using the correct type of battery? And (excuse me for asking a stupid question) are you inserting it the correct way up?

Hi,

Yes the battery is being inserted in the right way and the battery is the correct one.

I am stumped but it could be a warrant job I am hoping.

Are you using a cheap battery or a branded one like Duracell?
I changed batteries for 2 different Renaults using Duracell and no issues to date.

Do I detect an element of "product placement" here? :D :D :D :D On a serious note we had cheaper brands and found them lasting months rather than years, changing to duracell did fix things. You have to try this once before taking the car in.
