Hi

Hopefully You can help me. I have installed an Android aftermarket radio and it works fine. But I don't know how to connect the wiring to the steering wheel controls. On the radio there is a "key1" and "key2" wire, but how do I connect them, or one of them, to the wiring from the car? I have attached a wiring diagram from the radio.

Best regards

Henrik, Denmark

This device does not support remote control aka satelite. For this it should have separate input. Key1 and Key2 is to communicate with car computer for settings.

The key 1 and 2 wires are a Canbus control input.
Presumably there will be a twisted pair of wires that come from the the steering wheel to to OE radio.

It will be a case of finding this pair, to connect and try, sometimes splicing into the so the other car functions continue to work.

Then it’s all down to the new radio if it can read the OE can signals to decipher them. Different cars have different signals taking the form of a data type connection usually linking devices together. Voltage wise it’s up and down to 5v, and have to be the correct polarity.

The key 1 and 2 wires are a Canbus control input.

Key1 and 2 are not at all a can bus connector, you need a steering wheel interface  to convert and decode the canbus signal, this "converter" decodes the steeringwheel signal, but also the reverse, handbrake, ingnition and other in/out signals.
