Hi just got my Kadjar last week went to check fluid levels opened the bonnet but because as I left the zone with the key card in my pocket the car locked itself and alarm went off because of bonnet open..ok I figured I could leave the key card in the car or on the roof and everything would be ok but dont think this is ideal security wise.So is there a way of keeping the car open while checking things.

Walk away from car, the car will auto lock, then press the unlock button on your remote. It should stay unlocked. I do this when I have to stop to call in a shop and I have a passenger left in the car, otherwise the motion sensors set off the alarm. The front of the car is a sensor blind spot.

Thank you sounds too obvious but I would have thought it would just relock itself thinking it was a accidental press. Will try in the morning...cheers
