Sorry if this has probably been discussed before but I think the worlds gone mad

We fitted a standard dash cam in my wife's Fiesta and informed her insurance Halifax hoping it might get her a discount, Oh they said that a modification to the car
and said she could only drive her car

We then contacted my insurance the AA and informed them I had also fitted a dash cam (same model) Oh they said that's ok as its considered as road safety and no problem
Anyone else had any problems as we just can not understated the Halifax insurance attitude and will change them on next renewal

All insurance companies treat everything differently.

For example. I also own a Toyota Celica that has been extensively modified. I went from a 2l engine to a 3l V6 with numerous other mods. My premium went DOWN. The engine came from a Camry, but, that's classed as an "old/sensible" persons car, and, they based the quote from there.
