Thanks Pat War and Neiloky1
This is great! Now I know about the little white tree I will leave it there - no problems. About the little car icon near the speedo. My car is not a 4x4 but I will suss it out eventually.
Re. the battery changing - now I have seen it done I will try myself - I need to be able to open it anyway if I ever need thesparel key!
I have a pack of these 2032 batteries (Duracell) so I will first try with my spare card key.

Have only just bought my first Kadjar - a 19 plate S mdel auto, petrol with panroof. Superb! Beats my Peugeot 2008 hands down and the Cosmos Blue is eyecatching.
Thanks for replying so fast

Have got everything sorted now thanks to this forum!

Just one more thing I think I am doing wrong re. the alarm. It worrks ok and does not go off on it's own but...........when I went for petrol and my wife was left in tthe passenger seat and the engine was off and as I walked away to the kiosk the car automatically shut and mirrors went in because the keycard was in my pocket. A few minutes later the alarm went off with my wife in the car! This happened again later when I left my wife in the car!

What am I doing wrong - I can't work it out? I realise her movement when the doors were locked and alarm set did it - help please

Have this morning just had an 'epiphany moment' ! Should I have left the keycard in the car?!
PS.
I have managed to successfully install the new batteries in both cards myself from your video link - coincidentally this morning there was a messageon the dash 'battery low in keycard'
Thanks

You've answered your own question. Either leave the card in the car, or as I always did, give the spare remote to your wife to carry in her handbag. If, like me, you spend over 90% of the time alone in the car (wife very rarely goes out) it's a good solution. OR when you get out and leave your wife in the car, turn round and press the unlock button on the remote. It will stay unlocked and the movement sensor is disabled.

Great Pat War - I remember now from some years ago when I had a Citroen C4.
I am so pleased with this Kadjar. I always have liked Renault.
