Just joined the forum and need some advice on glove box removal. I am fitting a dashcam to my new GT line auto which is replacing a Signature SatNav. Fitted the same dashcam to this 2 years ago and I found it was really easy with the glove box removed but I cant find anything anywhere on how to do it! I found something online then and its a really simple job but I cant find anything now and can't remember how I did it! If any one can help me it will stop me breaking something in the process.

I just ran my cable round behind the glove box and up it to the fuse box and piggy backed it..was a simple 1 minute job.. Cant really see why you need to remove the glove box.

Hi Billos2020, I found out how to do it while planning for a glove box light on mine. Open the glove box and on the left you see a short arm that must be detached, then you half close the box and pull underneath the box toward you to unclip the two mounts on the bottom. The box should come out without any problems. I watched a video of a guy removing the glove box from a Quashqai to see if I could fathom it out. This video  link  is similar.

Thanks for that. It's  all coming back to me now! Managed to wire the dashcam without removing glovebox but your input will be useful in future.

Where did you connect the ground cable?
