1.5dci, 2017, manual, which I purchased only 10 days ago came without engine top cover. I found out that there are two types of them: plastic with thick foam on bottom side and with hole fittings that are going over bolts on its holders, and other one with pins which are going into holes on holders.

My questions are:
1. Is there a way to fit cover No1 instead of cover No2?
2. Would the cover reduce any noise, especially in cabin?

I bought my 1.3 petrol auto last year and was surprised to find there was no engine cover. I queried this with the local dealer and was told that this was quite normal and that no engine cover is supplied.
What is the experience of anyone buying a 1.3 petrol Kadjar?  

I saw many pictures of 1.3 petrol, Iconic, S Edition and GT Line, and none of them had engine cover.
Cover for my one looks pretty weak, some of used ones I saw on sale look miserable but prices do not reflect that.
