Hi I have a 2016 1.6 Diesel Kadjar and I have had the orange warning light on the dashboard showing two cars colliding  with a message Active Braking disconnected. Once the car stops and re-starts the warning light disappears. In the handbook it says to clean the radar sensor. On the book it shows a "square" in the bumper area on the drivers side. The picture may be for a righthand drive vehicle. On the passenger side, there is a small plate on the bumper, is this it. Do you remove it to clean. On the net it shows the sensor on the windscreen, could this be it. Can anyone in the forum please advise. Thanks

I don't think, Kadjars from this year have active braking. It's more likely a bug in the software.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I got out the brochure i got when I purchased the car and it it shoed the Kadjar had Active braking System. Some time ago, I was driving forward and a car was reversing back towards me and the brakes were automatically applied. It has never happened again.
Do you know where the radar sensor is located on the Kadjar

Active braking was available as an option in a the safety pack on ph1 Kadjars.
The radar sensor is behind the grille offset to the left if you are looking towards the front, U.K. models that will be O/S of centre same position no matter if it’s right or left hand drive.

it Probably uses the multifunctional sensor on the windscreen in conjunction, but it’s the radar that’ll give the ecu the distance.

All you can do is make sure there’s nothing that could interfere with it or both sensors.

Hi Darenh, thanks for your reply, I'll make sure the radar sensor is clear behind the grill.

Good evening.  I have the same problem, on my kadjar xmod 2016 1.6d.  Disconnects active braking suddenly and returns after one minute.  Meanwhile it doesn't work when I approach the car in front.  Did you find the solution?
