Hi all
I was very keen to buy a Renault Kadjar on 05/08/23.
Spec- GT model 2019, diesel
I was advised the car had a fresh MOT and service, plus given applicable paperwork,
Purchased from a large reputable car supermarket,
However, after my purchase, approx 7 miles driving away from the car supermarket, the car had a strong smell of diesel and 3 warning lights illuminated, displaying:
a) engine warning light
b) spanner (service light), and
c) anti pollution warning light.
The car supermarket advised I return the vehicle, so they could inspect it. They have advised Ad blue issues, triggering all 3 warning lights, causing potential sensor and filter problems. They have asked for additional days to fully inspect and resolve it, and given me a temporary car in the interim.
I would like to ask others on the forum whether this sounds plausible??? and whether this is a common Kadjar issue?
Whilst I'm still in the 14 day money back time period, I'm unsure on whether to proceed or not with this purchase anymore.
