Appreciate that this is referring to an issue nine months old! My Kadjar has just had its first service at only eight thousand miles. The rear discs and pads had to be replaced and after some heated exchange at dealers Renault covered the cost, nearly four hundred quid, under warranty. Hope this is not going to be a yearly occurrence!

I'm having the same issue albeit my Kadjar has done around 45,000 miles.

I took it to a garage last week because I heard a grinding noise coming from the front passenger tyre area. They came back to me and said that all 4 brake disks had warped and would need replacing once the brake pads have worn out (roughly 10,000 miles left). They were quoting me over 200 quid just for the front and explained that the back would be a lot more expensive. I asked the garage was this common and they advised that it was! I explained that I had had my Ford Focus for 3 years and had done 120,000 miles in it and never needed to change the brake discs!

I'll be interested if anyone else has had the same problem!

Sounds like a stitch-up mate. I'd get more opinions from an independent.
