Just a thought but the rear pads on kadjars seem to wear out faster that the front... Could it be to the hand break releasing when you pull away, surely this will have some effect on the pads wear as your are trying to pull away with them locked onto the disc..All my other cars have had normal hand breaks there has to be a reason because my rear pads were at least 2 front sets to 1 rear... Just a thought ...

I doubt it's a reason. Renault are using electric handbrakes for 15 years already. Never heard of such issue. My previous Scenic never had a different tyre wear.

Not tyres but pads all cars break on the front, because of weight transfer.so wear is always more on front pads reason for larger discs in the front. When pulling away with auto hand break release it takes some force to get it to come off...

My bad. What I wanted to say was pads. Still standing behind my words. For 6 years of use of my previous '08 Scenic (bought second hand in 2011), only changed pads once. The rear were better then the front ones. The force needed to release the pads is way to less then the one in breaking. Can not be compared at all.

See your point but something is not right with the kadjar, owners reporting rear pads wearing out before front ones ... strange !!!!

Yes. There is something. Seen people from all over Europe complaining from this. Maybe bad materials or something in the design of the hydraulic system.
