I am looking at buying some roof bars

Does anyone ave any comments on the choice between Renault and Thule?

Are the Renault ones lockable and do they have a T-Slot?

The Thule look to be the choice, but are more expensive.

Thanks,
Squilly

I have the Renault's bars and find them perfect for what are intended to do. They have locks. Pay attention to the Thule's bar, cause the original front and rear are with different length (about an inch).
What is a T-slot?

Apologies, I didn't reply to this.
A T-slot, or as Thule call it, upper T-track, is a T shaped groove in the rail that you can slide fixings into, rather than clamping round the bar itself/

I looked at every type of bar when I bought the Kadjar. I eventually settled for Modula bars which were only £80.  I only use them for carrying ladders, but they are good quality, fit superbly well, and are the quickest bars to mount and take off that I've ever had.  If you want to lock them then a lock kit is £9.99

With the Renault bars do you get any wind noise? Is there a specific place on top to fit?

Absolutely no noise. They're shaped like a wing - oval in front and flat on the back. There are four holes on the rails of the car, wich mark the place to be mounted. Use them very often and are easy to fit and disassemble...
