I have never had a car with a keyless entry system before (much prefer a key to start it) but I accept technology moves on, however reading about car theft from homes with these
keyless cards even when its kept 'inside your house' how or where do you keep yours at home for security)

You can get a "Keyless car key Signal Blocker" to stop the signal from the key when you are at home. We disabled Keyless entry cos we were fed up of getting out of the car to get the shopping from the boot & the car locking before we got there.

I keep mine in pouch that blocks the signal

Its easier to turn it off in rlink than to use rf blocking pouch
