Bought my Renault Kadjar 1.2 Dynamique S Nav in May 2018 (pre-registered with delivery milage) and never thought the air con was very cold. At it's one year service I asked them to look at it, but they said it was okay. Bought a digital temp probe and did my own tests comparing it to our BMW readings and the Kadjar was much warmer at 8-9 degrees.. Decided to book it in for the day at Renault. They found that it was 90g short of gas, topped it up to 550g. Pressure check revealed no leaks. UV dye put in gas in case of future leaks. All done under warranty.

The air con is very much colder now. Temp probe check is now 4-5 degrees.

It was worth booking in if any of you have the same issue.

We got our kadjar 21 mts old air con was rubbish.... only found out when we was away on hols for 6 weeks ... so missed having a working air con..Wessex Newport were not helpful on return.... so put up with it through the winter... Renault Cardiff serviced the car in April found there was only 55g of gas and no leak so could have been a mistake when system was filled in the factory... but still had to pay £180 as the previous owner had not complained.... they got you by the nuts we had a Honda CR-V for 6 yrs old sold it when it was 8 yrs old and the air con was painfully cold .... it’s not a very good system on the kadjar

Yes think you are right about the system not being very good so 4-5 degrees is the best it will go. Our BMW by comparison goes down to 1 degree. but it is a bigger engine which may have something to do with it.
