Looked in detail to fitting a reversing camera to my new Kadjar as its the only thing it does not have as car parks with low bollards seems to be on the increase
I decided mainly on cost and possible technical problems not to fit a reversing camera system linked to the R-Link so went for a conventional 'bleeping' type reversing sensors which now works fine.

However IF you are thinking of fitting one yourself beware its not a five minute job as my local electrical garage found out as directly behind the black bumper is a reinforcing safety bar which they inform me has a limit
on the size of hole you can drill into it which they had to do to pass cables through it so they ended up having to remove all the bumper to do it,

Anyhow they did not charge extra and stood by their earlier quote of £140 :) .

I booked my car into my local dealer to have a reversing camera fitted and they told me it would take a couple of hours to fit. It took them over a month from start to finish to get it working and Renault where useless.

My dealer needed one week for delivery of the camera. The day they said I left the car and 2.5 hours later it was done.

I do them in a couple of hours, it’s no big deal on a phase 1

Ok, I’ve had a look at the phase 2 today, and the tailgate, camera position and numberplate lights are the same as the phase 1.
So it should be straight forward to fit.

Infact the bumper covers are only a cosmetic upgrade so to speak.

If you plan to fit reverse sensors, take measure menta from on that has the installed already, there will be space behind as nothing changes under plastic bumper.
If you put them elsewhere you risk hitting the bumper bar underneath.

I can’t really see any obstacles that’ll stop these from being fitted.
