Hi,

So, some lovely person has decided to hit my other half's car in the carpark and just drive off.. no CCTV etc.
The damage is quite substantial, including a smashed driver's side headlight. :(

Insurance costs would be pretty prohibitive, so it looks like the cheapest option would be to source a used OS Headlamp and swap it out.. then get the bumper resprayed.
Two questions really..

One - Does the bumper need to be removed to access all the headlamp mounting bolts etc?
Two - How can I tell if the unit is halogen, LED etc.. I don't think it's Xenon based on the light output! ('67 plate Dynamique S Nav Tce130).

Thanks!

Hi Roxy please don't tell me you actually paid £895 , Loads on on Ebay Typicaly Halagon £330. LED £240, Standard £75 all depend on model year (some even Renault parts)
Say 3 hrs to fit @ £60 = £180

No mate don't get ripped off shop around, I wanted some standard reversing sensors fitted in September, Renault garage £580, local electrical garage £140 and all work fine

Yep, not a chance I'd be buying new at those prices so the electronic auction house it'll be.
I assume based on Roxy's '3hr' estimate that it's a bumper off job then?
