Can anyone please advise, I wish to install additional interior lighting to the footwell. I have constructed a circuit that uses a transistor to switch on a relay (hopefully the low current draw of the transistor will not interfere with the CanBus system). Problem, where is the best location to connect the transistor base (to switch on the relay) as I want the new LED footwell lights to come on/off to coincide with the interior lights (so need to connect them to interior light circuit) and secondly which spare fuse (in the glovebox fuse box) is suitable for the main LED feed (low current)? Any suggestions would be appreciated,

I wouldn’t bother building anything to be fair the lighting circuit is quite capable of running any leds you put on it.
I’ve got footwell, under Seat, door handles inside and out window switches, ev wire, underbody lighting.
I’ve taken a feed from the interior light through a 2amp fuse so I can isolate from the Oe lights.

Nothing to do with the canbus system as it’s main feed is from the fuse box.

Dear friend thank you for your help. I was going bananas in searching for light wires. I have mounted puddle lights under side mirrors and on interior door handles. Finally i can connect them. I will place my result in a few days

Nice. But as I can see those lights in mirrors are quite light... Anyway, do you have any instructions of how-to, where to buy materials...
