Not sure about this so you will need to check and make sure I'm not talking out of my arxe.
When you switch off the ignition in mine, the R-Link screen shows a summary of the driving. If you "save" this by starting a new screen, all the displays will be zeroed and you can start again.
At least, you can in mine.............

No, nothing appears on our RLink when you turn the ignition off. I've seen the Summary Of Driving on one of the screens when I was sat waiting for the wife and playing with the screen. I'll take your word for it that a method exists using the screen to Zero things. Thinking about it, I don't really know why I calculate the mpg from distance travelled divided by fuel used (and zeroing the mileage) as the figure displayed in the car is normally within 1 mpg of what I calculate...

Thanks d3634, after 20 months ownership, we knew about reset type (1), but not about type (2) Don't find it Logical that a button marked "OK" does a "Reset"? Why can't this be done on-screen, so you don't have to read-the-manual to discover it? Or have proper "Reset" buttons? {We generally avoid the clutter that is on the right-hand-side of the steering-wheel, and the little box underneath it cobbled onto the steering column}

Couldn't agree more re RH side stalk controls, look a bodge and not easy to use on the move which is their prime function. Do find the wheel mounted resets easy though. PS after 32 months ownership I still have never used that stalk thing and don't even need the functions.

I use the stalk thingy, as you call it, in my van and also the wife's car has the same, it does take a little getting used to for reset having to press both buttons together.

Yes I am finding other things that are not in the manual, I was a bit embarrassed in the petrol station when I picked the car up as spent five minutes INSIDE the car looking for the petrol cap pull switch next to the bonnet pull switch
only to find out there is not any and you just push the flap to open it :) :(
One thing I do not like is the twirly oil dip stick as its a bugger to put back in I find
