Thanks for you quick reply.
Yes I have the option active in the menu and I understand if you switch it off in the menus it is reset back on the next time the ignition is switched on.

Just to test he AEB I have tried driving up close to the car in front (much closer than I would normally get) probably only about 2-3 car lengths and still no warning.
I think I will email Renault technical for advice.

When I once tested like you are saying not even mine did issue the warning.

The car in front need to be stationary,or like my second incident when car crossed in front at right angle.

I have a question about this system. Twice I have seen the red alert symbol with beeping sound for collision. But in the past I have very often orange symbol warning light lights up on the instrument panel, with the message “Active braking disconnected”. I clear the message with OK button, and after several kilometres warning light turns off. The stopping and switching off of the engine also turns off the warning orange light on the instrument panel. I am wondering is there some issue with the system, or it is so sensitive and can be disturbed very easy. In the manual is written:
"Some conditions can disturb or damage the operation of the system, such as:
– a complex environment (metal bridge, etc.);
– poor weather conditions (snow, hail, black ice, etc.)."
So does anybody have some similar disturbance of that system?

I have considerable experience with these camera reliant systems. They use similar technology with active lane assist etc, constantly glitchy, road dirt can cause issues, they do work more than they dont

Hello again,
After visit in authorized Renault service and diagnostic the radar sensor has been replaced with spare, because there was an issue. The active detector is a Dopler radar only, Kadjar does not use optical camera for this system.
If anybody has such symptoms as very often disturbance of the radar and orange warning indicator on dash board is turning on, it is probably an issue with the sensor and it must be replaced.
