had from new 2016 kadjar - speed alert sound dropped out recently -checked button is on - increased sound volume - tried reset -tried factory reset still no joy - any suggestions?

I wouldn't worry too much. Mine dropped out for about 6 months when I first bought it and then one day without warning came back. It hasn't dropped out since, but to be honest I preferred it when it stayed silent, the "Bongs" tend to grate after a while.
