Why is it when trying to download a map update, through the R-Link2 toolbox, a 6.5 gb file can stop, start go backwards take anything from 8 to 124 hours to download. Even then you might have to do it all over again. Is there a simpler way of doing an update?

The last map update I did just over a year ago downloaded within an hour, with no issues, and was then uploaded to the car in around 35 min.
The USB stick can be the weakest link if not good quality or uncorrupted.

I nearly did. in fact I had 2 computers downloading at the same time in the end. 1 got to about 70% then packed up the other died at 96% but managed to re connect and finish.

Renault get your act together.

Maybe you have a slow or intermittent internet connection.
Mine used to take hours until I upgraded to 35 megabits internet speed and now the download takes less than half an hour.
