Hi all, first the specs

Kadjar 2019 S Edition
iPhone 12 on iOS 14.4
Official Lightening Cable being used
R-Link Software Release 9.0.34.611

Problem is, when I plug the phone in it doesn't come up with an option to start Car Play. From what I have seen there should be a little button in the bottom middle of the display that says Car Play but its not there. I can listen to music through my phone as it picks up the "iPod" but nothing else.

Anyone know what this could be?

Edit: Also just tried it with 4 different cables and each one does the same. It says Media Connected and radio goes quiet, then it says Media disconnected (not dodgy cables or phone as its all brand new and works elsewhere) and also says contacts could not load. Also when going into car play on the phone options itself, my car does not show up.

I would try with another phone, to be sure it's not the phone itself.
1.6 dCI, 2WD, Zen+ , Retractable Tow Bar.
RLink 2 - V9.0.34.610, Here Maps (2021/Q4) + TomTom POIs and SpeedCams (2021_06)

I also had Siri disabled...
2016 White 1.6 dCi 4WD BOSE with Premium Techno Pack, Winter Pack, Panoramic glass roof & autodipp mirror and retractable towbar.
Added ambient illumination, few chrome trims,
Replaced R-Link2 V2.2 SW version 9. 0.34.611, enabled Android Auto and CarPlay (change USB slots)
Maps: Here 2022Q2

I see you are in IOS 14.4, which has only just been released. Is it since you’ve updated?

Sorry I thought I replied last night. I did a factory reset and now it works, of R Link that is.
