I have a new Samsung 8and it will pair with my Blue tooth but drops out immediately. And then connects again. I cannot make any calls etc 
 My prev galaxy was no problem. It is a 2016kadjar.  Thanks

I have the same phone with no issues so my assumption is that it is down to not being permitted to Data Share or something like that.
When you were setting up was there anything you answered NO like say sharing contacts, media etc etc

An update.  Contacted R link who asked for some details.  Wanted version of R link. They then advised I would need to take it to garage  for upgrade. Took it in today and told it would be done under warranty.  Now working fine
