I've just bought a Kadjar with the R-Link 2 system. I've also been looking into fitting a tow bar & have been reading up on the fitting instructions in the forum download section.
One of the first steps is to disconnect the battery. Later in the instructions, when the battery is reconnected, the instructions say I will need to enter a security code for the radio.
I didn't receive a radio code when I took delivery of the car. The dealer had also 'lost' the spare keycard, but has since provided me with a replacement & I was wondering what else might not have been given to me.

My question is; if I disconnect the car battery, will I need a code to get the R-Link 2 system working again, or will it just work? Did anyone else with a Kadjar + R-Link 2 receive a code when they took delivery of their car?

If I remember correctly, my code was on a separate piece of paper in the folder you get with your car that holds the Handbook etc.

I've just bought a Kadjar and my R-Link code is on a sticker on the inside back cover of the handbook.

Cheers..... sounds like the dealer lost the code info as well as the spare keycard. I'll need to pay them another visit.

OK, so I made a boob earlier in this thread, mine is also in the back of the handbook, must have been thinking of the last car.
The label is about the size of an address label. Interesting thing is that it also includes other information pertinent to your car which, dependent on the model of your car, will be filled accordingly:

Factory Type
Chassis No.
Fabrication No: Not filled on mine
Model Year
Delivered On: Not filled on mine
Ignition Key No.
Door Key No. Not filled on mine
Supp Key No. Not filled on mine
Registration No. Not filled on mine
Radio Code

There is also an additional smaller label to the right which has my Key Code

Unless your radio code has been changed it is probably the default code of 0000

Thanks !
I’ve found the stickers in the back of my handbook. It just says Radio No......... so I suppose there’s no code needed. I’m tempted to disconnect the battery to find out (only joking!).
I am surprised though that all these codes are stuck in the back of the handbook, which will then be left in the car glove box !
