I had a 2019 Kadjar as a hire car the other weekend and the sat nav allowed entry via Ireland's Eircode postcode system.

My 2016 model doesn't do that. If I update the maps, will I get that feature? If someone who has upgraded the maps wants to check, try entering R35 X215 as an Irish address

My 2016 Kadjar was recently updated to R-Link version 7.0.24.161 at my local Renault dealer. I have downloaded the latest (June 2018!) maps from the Renault shop.

I can confirm that the Irish postcode you asked about gives the result Church Road, Cloncollog (Tullamore).

If it is relevant, the "Navigation information" version is 9.12.138.703531.

I'll try updating the maps on mine then, and if that doesn't work I'll get the rlink updated at the next service.
How much did the dealer charge to update you to v7?

My dealer did not charge me for the R-Link update. Whether that is because I have been using the same dealer for 15 years or not, I can't say.

They are not a Main dealer, just an approved service centre.

Hey, did you have any success when you tried this yourself? Just picked up my Kadjar yesterday and would love to get the Eircodes into the maps.

Not yet - I might get the chance to download the updated maps this weekend
