So is it possible? I have rlink2 2.2. Is android auto even compatible?

The short answer to your question is Yes. I, and the majority of the people who updated to 3.3, started out with 2.2. Android Auto works perfectly, with no discernible drawbacks. Read this Link, all the info you need is here.

Before you try to upgrade to V3 there is an issue with the voice control and the reversing camera you should be aware of.
There are workarounds but I suggest you research first to see if it is for you

Thanks duracel for clearing up my misleading post. I don't have a reversing camera nor do I ever use voice activation. I've read about the problems with guide lines and voice not reacting in some cases but my post was specifically about Android Auto, which does run 100%. Also I got the two 2.2 to 3.3 links mixed up but you've given karl70 the correct one. Again I apologise for any misleading info, good job you're on the ball.

yeah ok, well seeing as it is a new car to me, and it does have a reversing camera and i use the voice control i rather think thats not something im going to doing ...but thanks for both of your advice.
