Perfect. I gather in v9 using a stylus produces better results at getting in to developers mode

I have tried with fingers in the past and never got in, so yes, stylus worked for me.

Hi there I thought you couldn’t upgrade from v3 to 7 yourself you had to get a dealer to do it?

Late see this... Did that last week on Talisman... I flashed device while upgrade from 2 to 3 and then replaced with new with V9 SW. Entered on second try into developer menu. First activation not successful, second try was (one option was not saved on reboot). Friend was happy as radio...

The Renault dealer from 3,0, to 7.0. I wanted to put version 9.0. but they say it is impossible

Upgrade from 8 to 9 is not officiali supported, as from 2 to 3 not. Take your own risk, new device costed arround 800 EUR + 4 hours of labor and at least 2-3 months of waiting time.
2016 White 1.6 dCi 4WD BOSE with Premium Techno Pack, Winter Pack, Panoramic glass roof & autodipp mirror and retractable towbar.
Added ambient illumination, few chrome trims,
Replaced R-Link2 V2.2 SW version 9. 0.34.611, enabled Android Auto and CarPlay (change USB slots)
