Afternoon, I have a 2017 1.5dci, this morning I had the spanner icon appear with the message 'check parking brake'. The electronic handbrake does not engage and there is a flashing light on the handbrake button.
I have stopped and started the vehicle as well as driving back to work (10 miles) however there is no change. Is there a way or resetting the handbrake.

Hey , did you ever find out what was wrong with the parking brake , my 2016 1.6 KADJAR started today with the spanner and CHECK PARKING BRAKE on the dash????

Yes it was the parking brake computer module, Renault told me that I would need a new module and have it programmed. Along with the initial testing the total was £442.
I did look at buying the module myself at a cost of just over £200 but then would need to get it programmed, so just paid up. 
The cost was with £80 discount included as the vehicle was only out of warranty by a few months
