Took the old pads out of the box after the local garage changed them... dealer said they were 95% worn !!!!!! As you can see from the pics no way near that.. Pic of front disc is what they wanted to replace... heavy scoring their words...

Told you so this morning, why did you take it elsewhere AFTER having it done???????

It's an age old story, get it checked at a garage you trust, not the place that sold you the car.

Sorry if I'm being blunt but it does need saying

I just looked at the pictures. and please excuse the expletives but for fucks sake, how can any so called technician call these 95% dead?? The discs are near perfect, better than expected on a 3 year old car.

Don''t drop this, hit them with the pics and threats of exposure both on the net and legally.

They have attempted to have you over there

It went in for service they picked up the brake pads in the inspection.... checked out the cost with 3 other dealers about re gas air con and it’s £180 . But it there is a fault then it’s covered... local garage that did the mot changed the rear pads they looked at the front disc and laughed at what the dealer said... it going back on Friday for re gas... so will have a word about their recommendations relating to the pads and discs... only had the rear pads changed because we are away this week in France so will cover about 2000 mls in a week and did not want to chance it ..

Well good and bad. Just had dealer do a service at 50k and they said all pads were 50% worn. Didn't mention the disks. Not bad.
Then they said all tyres were 2mm front and 3mm rear and wanted to fit a set. I said no thanks. Went round to my tyre fitter and he said without looking they are lying. He checked with tyre gauge and all were 4mm.
