Hi all,What are your thoughts on rim protectors? I seem to remember one of our members mentioning that he clipped the kerb while using the park assist which caused damage to the alloys. I have not had any problem with my qashqai as the 18ins continentals had good rim protectors but with moving to 19ins it might be a problem.

The rim protection on the Bridgestone tyres' side-walls fitted to my SEAT Leon do an excellent job, albeit obviously not up to offering protection from a really bad kerbing.

Try these , best get fitted by a tyre dealer. Takes an hour to do 4, wheels and tyres stay on car.

Not knowing the car yet..
Does it have diamond cut wheels?
If so then you cannot fit the alloygator's to them.
It says on the site in the FAQ section and also when we had our VW Tiguan R Line the mechanics said the same.
Because the diamond cuts have a clear coat on them it can break the coating when installed and cause milking on the wheels.

Hi there, the 19" wheels ARE Diamond Cut, I don't know about the 17s. Your point surprises me as there have been several posts on this/previous Site about Alloygaters being fitted  without any problems. No one mentioned that Diamond Cuts were exempt.
