Yet more alarm issues with the Kadjar.

Following my nocturnal disruptions on Christmas Eve morning, I thought the problem had been resolved by using the long key press and three beeps to disable the perimeter alarm.

However, tonight we have the alarm going off again, fortunately for ourselves and neighbours at 20:30, despite "disabling" the perimeter settings.

What I did notice though is that tonight, the temperature is -5degC, and on Christmas Day morning it was -4degC. Could this be the cause of the alarm triggering, as it does seem a bit of a coincidence that this has happened on the two coldest nights?

I think it is now time to book it in with the local Renault Dealer for a look-see!!!!

The long key press I believe disables the car movement sensor which suggests your problem is possibly door or bonnet problem. I remember my wife's Captur having a similar problem which turned out to be the bonnet switch.

Not saying that is what it is, just putting it out there. Knowing the dealers, unless they can see the problem happening they will say nothing is wrong, that is the problem with an intermittent fault.

Hi - again!!

I did see this post last week and tried the five clicks on the unlock button, but nothing happened. I did try it from having the car locked - just had a thought that maybe the car shold be unlocked before pressing the unlock button?

As it is not something I have personally tried, I can't answer that.
