Does anybody know whether the 1.6 dci engine is with belt or chain
1.6 dCI, 2WD, Zen+ , Retractable Tow Bar.

Chain isn't the answer to everything, as BMW found out a few years ago... It's interesting that the Ford 3 cyl 999 EcoBoost engine uses an "oil bath belt" which is meant to be good for the life of the car

And many owners of VAG cars with the small TSI engine have paid through their nose for broken down timing chains and surroundings. They even put a sensor on that engine that says the chain has cogged over, because of all these failures.

having seen many belts and chains broken on cars what tends to cause most of the problem is the cheapness of the tensioner.
